This brooch bears the trace of a body that has been both marked and transformed.
The nipple appears slightly ruptured, traversed by a pin — a gesture that hovers between ornament and wound, between adornment and intrusion.
The act of piercing becomes a fragile ritual: a way of claiming the body, but also a reminder of how easily it can be altered, controlled, or exposed. The metal preserves this tension — holding together tenderness and discomfort, vulnerability and resilience.
As with all works in the X Point collection, the piece originates from a direct cast of the body. Its surface retains every texture and imperfection, functioning as a quiet archive of touch, memory, and presence. Suspended between jewelry and sculpture, the brooch becomes not only an object to be worn, but a statement about intimacy, autonomy, and the politics of the body.
