Cast in solid silver from a real nipple, this brooch is part of the X Point collection, a body-based exploration of origin, nourishment, and forbidden tenderness.
The nipple is the very first source of life for every human being — the initial point of sustenance, warmth, and survival. From this primal function, meaning slowly shifts: what was once pure necessity becomes sexualized, censored, and hidden. This piece moves backward through that history, returning the nipple to its original state of innocence.
From its center, a vivid orange stone drips downward — evoking milk transformed into symbolism. It is nourishment, but also sacrifice: a drop given endlessly, silently, by women who become mothers. The stone can be read as milk, blood, or offering — a reminder of the physical and emotional cost carried for the continuation of life.
Textured, raw, and unapologetically bodily, the brooch confronts cultural discomfort while honoring maternity as an act of creation and surrender. It invites the viewer to look again, without shame, and to recognize the nipple not as something to censor, but as a universal point of origin.
This is not a provocation for shock — it is an invitation to remember.
