This brooch is crafted from a silver cast of a real nipple, transformed into an object that exists somewhere between recognition and abstraction. The tip of the form is deliberately cut open, turning the piece into a functional gesture: fabric is gently pulled through the opening, gathering into a small fold at the center. The brooch doesn’t simply sit on the garment—it grips it, creating a subtle, sculptural protrusion, a false nipple made of cloth.
It is a nipple without being one, an illusion built from absence rather than exposure. The body is suggested, not shown. The familiar form dissolves into concept, play, and invention. What remains is a tactile, intimate interaction between object and clothing, between metal and softness.
