This ring is part of the collection Broken Traditions. City Glass, where discarded fragments are reclaimed and transformed into meaning.

At its center sits a silver coin — a replica — cracked open by a tiny shard of street-found glass, as if the fragment itself had broken through the surface from within.
What should symbolize value is fractured, questioned, destabilized.

The face on the coin has been subtly altered with a hand-drawn moustache — a playful, almost irreverent gesture that recalls the way we deface photographs, challenging authority, permanence, and seriousness. Humor becomes a form of resistance.

The coin is held by a sculptural bronze base shaped like claws, accompanied by a small, intensely blue stone — a quiet point of light within the composition.

This piece moves between irony and tenderness, vandalism and care, destruction and transformation.
A reminder that value is never fixed — it is rewritten by gesture, by context, by the hand that chooses to see the broken as precious.
